Jigging Pro MJ079 Slow Pitch Casting Jig
The Jigging Pro MJ079 is a versatile metal jig designed for shore casting and light offshore jigging. Its slim, slightly curved lead body combines good casting distance with a controlled swimming action and an attractive flutter on the fall. This makes it useful when predators are feeding on sardines, sprats, and other small baitfish around reef edges, channels, and bait schools.
The MJ079 is classed by the manufacturer as a slow pitch jig, but its streamlined profile also performs well as a casting lure. It can be worked slowly with lifts and pauses or retrieved more actively when fish are chasing bait.

Applications
The MJ079 is a practical all-round jig for fishing around Maldives reefs and channels. Cast it beyond a bait school, allow it to sink to the desired depth, and retrieve it with steady winding, short twitches, or sweeping rod lifts. From a boat, it can also be fished vertically with controlled lift-and-fall movements.
Recommended targets include trevally, queenfish, bonito, mackerel, tuna, jobfish, snapper, and other reef or pelagic predators.
Choose 35g-45g for lighter tackle and shallower water. Use 60g-80g for general-purpose reef and channel fishing. Select 100g when you need extra casting distance, deeper presentation, or improved control in stronger current.
Recommended For
Choose the MJ079 when you want one versatile jig for shore casting and light boat jigging. Its balanced design makes it suitable for both slower presentations and more active baitfish-style retrieves.
